The Brita
®
Universal Jug Filter is not intended to purify water. Do not use
with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without
adequate disinfection before or after the system. Individuals requiring
water of special microbiological purity should follow the advice of their
doctor or local health officials regarding the use and consumption of their
tap water and Brita
®
filtered water. Substances reduced by this water
treatment device are not necessarily in all users’ water.
Cleaning Instructions
DO NOT WASH filter. Adaptors can be hand washed. For best
results: Hand wash adaptors periodically with a mild detergent.
Rinse well.
Storage Instructions
Empty jug and remove Jug Filter. Leave adaptor attached to
spigot. Do not store Jug Filter for longer than 60 days regardless
of usage/filter life. In between uses, it is recommended you keep
your filter in a clean, dry environment before using again.

Tested by NSF International for the reduction of chlorine up to a capacity
of 80 gallons.
Testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions at a flow rate
of 0.25 gallons/minute. The contaminants or other substances removed
or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in all users’
water. Filter performance may vary based on local water conditions.
Please refer elsewhere in this User’s Guide for the use and care
requirements. Maintenance according to the manufacturer’s instructions
is essential for proper filter performance. Replace the Brita
®
Jug Filter
every 80 gallons/300 liters.
The Brita Universal Jug Filter has been tested and
certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI
Standard 42 for material requirements only.

Fresh Filter = Fresher Water
Change filter every 2 months or 80 gallons.*
Do not use with hot water (max. temp. 85°F/29°C,
min. temp. 34°F/1°C). Do not freeze filter.
*Filter replacement is essential for
product to perform as represented.
COMPONENT
1. Hold spigot in place
and remove nut. If
difficult to remove,
use wrench to loosen.
2. Replace with
selected adaptor.
Make sure gasket
stays in place.
3. Unwrap filter. Push and turn
filter until it clicks to attach.
4. Filter is now ready for use. Water will
start flowing after a few seconds, once
the filter is wet. Replace filter
every 2 months or 80 gallons.
